Coaches's Responsibilities
1. Safety - The primary function of a coach is to assure that all athletes perform in a safe manner.
2. Technique - The ability of a coach to properly train in both basic and advanced technique of their sport will assure that the athlete will perform well and not become injured.
3. CPR & First Aid - All coaches are required to be certified in Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation and First Aid.
4. Preventing Injuries - Coaches are responsible to teach athletes how to avoid injury and to use preventative measures such as taping and proper training techniques.
5. Equipment safety - Coaches are ultimately responsible for the quality of the equipment and the proper fit.
6. Strength and Conditioning - Proper conditioning for the sport is a requirement for all coaches. Improper training can lead to injury and other maladies.
